De Anza Revitalization Plan
Ad-Hoc Subcommittee Meeting

Thursday, June 29, 2017
6:00 – 8:00 p.m

Mission Bay High School
2475 Grand Avenue
San Diego, CA 92109

There is another meeting this Thursday to present the revised concept alternatives for the De Anza cove area. If you haven’t had a chance to read the comments from the previous alternatives, please check out the website – community gardens didn’t receive very good feedback. If we have any hope of getting a community garden as part of this, then we need to get involved in the workshops, feedback, etc.

We look forward to sharing the revised alternatives and hearing your thoughts!

Thank you,

The De Anza Revitalization Plan Team

The latest announcement is that St. Andrews by-the Sea Episcopal Church in PB at 1050 Thomas Ave. is converting part of its front lawn for garden space.

Leigh Adams, who’s shepherding St. Andrews new garden addition, said the notion of the church joining the local gardening mix was suggested by Paula Gandolfo, PB’s “godmother of gardening.” Gandolfo has been promoting the activity far and wide, including lobbying to have a community garden included in the ongoing De Anza Revitalization Plan for redeveloping the regional park.
